Ingredients
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter - softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the 1/2 cup of butter and white sugar. Add pumpkin, egg, and vanilla to butter mixture, and beat until creamy. Mix in dry ingredients.
  • Drop on cookie sheet by tablespoonfuls. Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool on a wire rack.
