Homemade Cereal (Granola) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 5 cups quick oats
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 2 cups coconut, optional
  • 1 finely chopped pecans, optional (1 1/2 cup 5 ounce )
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon salt
Directions
Stir the dry ingredients together in large bowl. Stir the liquid ingredients together well. Add the liquid mixture slowly to the dry ingredients. Stir well. Put on baking sheets and bake at 250° until cereal is crunchy, approximately 1 hour. Stir occasionally, about every 15 minutes. Serve with milk, yogurt, etc.
