Butterhorn Rolls (Crescents) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted but not hot
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk, lukewarm
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Directions
Mix yeast in 1 T of the sugar. Add rest of sugar and all the other ingredients. Work in the flour. Knead. Let rise. Punch down and let rise again. Divide in 2 equal parts. Roll into 12" circle. Cut into 16 pie wedge pieces. Start at larger end and roll tightly to the small end. Place point end down on the greased cookie sheet (can freeze at this point and thaw 4-5 hours ahead to rise and bake). Let rise. Bake @ 350-400° for 20-25 minutes.
