Layer Salad 6 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 head lettuce, washed, drained well and chopped up
  • 1 package baby spinach, washed and drained well (small pkg)
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, cooled, chopped
  • 1 chopped onion (optional)
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced and drained (small can)
  • 8 ounces Swiss cheese, cut into julienne strips
  • 8 ounces thick-sliced ham, cut into julienne strips
  • 1 pound bacon,
Directions
Layer the ingredients as follows in a clear bowl:

Baby spinach

Eggs

Salt and pepper

Lettuce

Onion, if used

Water chestnuts

Ham

Peas

Mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, some salt and pepper. Spread on top. Add Swiss cheese next and top with crumbled bacon. Chill.
