Ingredients
2 eggs, separated
Milk
3/4 cup margarine
3/4 cup Crisco
3 3/4 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
Apples, sliced
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/4 teaspoons CINNAMON
4 tablespoons tapioca
Powdered sugar frosting
Directions
Separate eggs and add to yolks enough milk to make 1 cup. Mix together as a pie crust the margarine, Crisco, flour, salt, egg yolks and milk. Roll out 1/2 of the dough and put in 10x15 inch jelly roll pan. Cover dough with sliced apples. Sprinkle sugar, flour, cinnamon and tapioca over apples. Roll out remaining dough and place over apples and seal edges. Beat the egg whites and brush over top of dough. Cut several slits in dough. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes and at 375° for 20-25 minutes. After removing from oven, drizzle powdered sugar frosting over top while still warm.
