Christmas Simmering Potpourri Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/4 cup whole cloves
  • 2 lemon slices or 2 T. dried lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons fresh or dried orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup all spice
  • 1 quart water
Directions
Mix all together in medium saucepan. Simmer on low heat. Add more water as needed.

I like to make big batches and mix the ingredients in little ziploc bags to have them ready to add to water. This is guaranteed to put you in the Christmas spirit during the holidays!
