Mom's Secret Pot Roast Recipe

  • 3 pounds English chuck roast
  • 6 potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters (medium)
  • 6 carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces (Medium)
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms (optional) (4 ounce can)
Place beef in bottom of crock pot, put potatoes and carrots on top. Mix the remaining three ingredients together and spoon evenly over the beef and vegetables. Cook in Crock pot at low setting all day (approximately 8-10 hours). Note: the soups and mushrooms make their own gravy.
