Funky Grits Recipe

  • 1 cup grits (cooked per directions-grits to water ratio)
  • 1 pound hot sausage, cooked & drained
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted (10 ounce can)
  • 8 ounces Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 jar pimento (optional) (small jar)
  • salt & pepper to taste
Brown sausage & drain. Saut onion, green pepper, and celery until tender. Cook 1 C. grits according to the package directions. Combine rest of ingredients into crock pot to melt cheese & keep warm. Keep on low or warm heat.
