- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Place baguette slices in single layer on large baking sheet.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes or until lightly toasted.
- Remove from oven and set aside.
- Preheat broiler.
- In a large non-stick skillet cook sausage, onion, and garlic until sausage is brown and broken up and onion is cooked through and tender.
- Drain off excess fat then set aside to cool.
- Meanwhile in large mixing bowl combine mayonnaise, Caesar salad dressing, cheese, oregano, red pepper (if desired), and salt and pepper to taste; mix until well combined.
- Mix in cooled sausage mixture and mix until well combined.
- Spread over toasted baguette slices and return to baking sheet.
- Place about 6 inches below broiler for about 2-4 minutes or until bubbly. Serve immediately.
