- Cook in 3 tbsp. olive oil - onion, garlic, and green pepper in large pan.
- Peel and chop tomatoes, add to onion, pepper and garlic. Bring to a boil.
- Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for one hour stirring often.
- Add tomato paste. Simmer to desired thickness, could take 4-5 hours.
- Pour into jars. Seal with canning lids.
- Place jars in covered hot water bath. Bring to a boil and let sit in water until water is cool.
