| | Directions | | Mix together butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Roll in 1" balls. Dip in beaten egg whites. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 5 minutes. Press thumbprint in each cookie. Bake 8 minutes more. Cool. Put frosting or jelly in center of cookie. Great for the holidays. Makes 2 dozen. |
