Apple Cinnamon Scones - Recipe

Preheat oven to 400. Coat cooking sheet with cooking spray. In bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. On medium speed, beat in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Beat in the half and half and applesauce until blended, 2 minutes. Stir in apples, drop batter by 1/4 cupful onto baking sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden, cool on rack. Combine powdered sugar and 1 T. of water, drizzle over scones.

If you don't have cinnamon applesauce, change 3/4 tsp. cinnamon to 1 tsp. cinnamon.

-2 cups flour

-1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
-3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

-2 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
-2/3 cup fat free half and half
-1/4 cup cinnamon applesauce
-2 apples, cored and chopped (small)
-2/3 cup powdered sugar
