Cut cheese into cubes and place into a saucepan with half of the butter; heat over medium until melted and smooth, stirring often.

Place vegetables in a 1 quart casserole dish. Pour cheese mixture over and mix well.

Melt remaining butter and stir in cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake uncovered at 350° for 25-25 minutes. Serve at once.

-1/2 pound American cheese
-1/2 cup butter or margarine
-1 package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained
-1 cup butter crackers, crushed
