Directions
Combine all except beans. Bake at 350° for 3 hours covered. If using fresh beans, add immediately. If using canned or frozen beans, add last half hour of baking.

-1 1/2 cups sliced onion
-1 celery strips (2 cup 2 inch )
-1 carrot strips (1 1/2 cup 2 inch )
-1 green pepper strips (sweet pepper) (3/4 cup 2 inch )
-2 cups fresh, frozen, or canned beans
-2 cups fresh or canned tomatoes
-4 tablespoons butter
-1 tablespoon sugar
-2 1/2 teaspoons salt & pepper to taste
-3 tablespoons tapioca
