Kolache

A small pastry native to Czechoslovakia and Poland made with bread dough and sweet or savory fillings. The kolache dough is sweetened as it is prepared, formed into a round pastry with an indented center, and filled in the center with a variety of ingredients such as fruit, fruit sauces, fruit spreads, jams, jellies, poppy seeds, cream fillings, nuts, cottage cheese, meat, cheese, or vegetables....
