Nori
Very thin sheets of dried seaweed, which has a mildly sweet taste, that are used mostly in Japanese cooking as a food wrap for sushi. They are also toasted and then crumbled into fine pieces and used for flavoring in salads or other Asian dishes and as a garnish for many Japanese foods. Nori can be found in Japanese markets or some supermarkets in dried folded sheets and also as fine threads or pieces that have been toasted.
