Kumquat
A tiny round or oval citrus fruit that resembles a very small orange. With a thin rind and flesh that are both edible, the Kumquat flavor is balanced by the sweet tasting rind that offsets the very tart, sour-orange flavor of the inner flesh. Kumquats can be eaten raw, candied, used in preserves, or pickled. They go well in sauces, chutneys, and marmalades served with wild game, poultry, beef, or pork.
