This spring vegetable is so versatile we'll help you decide what to do with it. From preparation to cooking, whether it's grilled or roasted, we'll guide the way.
Refresh limp asparagus by trimming stalk ends and placing in a glass of cold water; place a plastic bag over the top and store in the refrigerator for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Make asparagus easy to turn on the grill by inserting skewers in 6 or 7 spears crosswise, in two locations on each spear.
To easily remove asparagus ends, hold the asparagus spear firmly towards the end and bend it until it snaps. The spear should break at the natural point where it becomes tough.
Don't throw that tough-skinned asparagus away. Peel the skin with a vegetable peeler and then cook the asparagus as you normally would.
