Swiss Steak 13 Recipe

  • 1 round steak
  • flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oil
  • 1 onion (medium)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounce can)
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained (4 oz. can)
Cut the round steak into pieces and dust with seasoned flour. Heat oil in heavy skillet and brown steak pieces. Place in dutch oven or large pot. Slice onions over the meat. Pour hot water over meat to cover. Ass the tomato sauce and mushrooms; simmer slowly over low heat for 2-3 hours. Gravy may be thickened with flour. Great served over rice.
