Pizza or Calzone Dough Recipe

  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon powdered milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1. Place all ingredients in the pan of the bread machine, in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select Dough cycle. After cycle is completed, allow dough to rise until double (about 30-45 minutes).

2a. For pizza, press dough into pan(s) and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cover with desired ingredients and bake at 350° for an additional 10 minutes.

2b. For calzones, divide dough into 4-6 portions and roll each out thinly on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to a lightly greased cookie sheet, and spoon fillings onto dough. Fold edges together and seal with water. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes, then serve.
