Swiss Steak 46 Recipe

  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds round/chuck steak
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 - 8 ounce can seasoned tomato sauce
  • 2 - 5 1/2 ounce cans pizza sauce
  • 1 onion sliced (medium)
  • 1 green pepper sliced
Combine flour, salt, and pepper; pound into steak. Brown slowly on both sides in hot oil. Pour tomato sauce and pizza sauce over meat. Top with onion and pepper slices. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Now cover and bake in oven going skillet or large casserole in 350° oven for 1 hour or a little longer, until steak is fork tender. Makes 6 servings.
