Swiss Steak 38 Recipe

  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds round or chuck steak 1 inch thick
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounce can)
  • 1 jar pizza sauce (10 ounce jar)
  • 1 onion (sliced) (medium)
combine the flour, salt and pepper in flat bowl (pie tin works)

cut steak into serving pieces and roll in flour mixture. Brown slowly on both sides in skillet with oil. mix tomato and pizza sauces together and pour over the meat top with the onion slices Let simmer uncovered 10 minutes

Place in casserole dish and bake in oven at 340 for 1 hour until steak is fork tender
