ZESTY MEATLOAF Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, beaten egg, salt, pepper and 4 oz. of the ketchup. Form into loaf and put into 7 x 10 baking dish. Combine the rest of the ketchup, water, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over loaf. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Baste occasionally.
