Ingredients
Medium size head cabbage
Large onion - chopped
1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
1/2 cup salad oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon powdered mustard
1 tablespoon celery seed
Directions

Shred a medium size head of cabbage in a large bowl.
Slice the whole onion over the cabbage.
Toss lightly.
Pour 7/8 C. sugar over all of the mixture.
In a saucepan mix vinegar, salad oil, 2 Tablespoons sugar, salt, powdered mustard, and celery seed. Bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage and onions.
Let set overnight.
It will keep 2 weeks in the fridge.
