Ingredients

Cookies
1 cup Sugar
1 cup softened oleo, margarine
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Frosting
1/2 package powdered sugar
1/2 stick softened oleo, margarine
4 tablespoons Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

For cookies, mix sugar, butter, egg and vanilla, then add remaining ingredients and mix. Roll out on floured surface and use favorite cookie cutters. Bake 350Â° oven about 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire rack and frost. For frosting, mix all ingredients together until creamy.

"These were fun to make and I got lots of compliments. For cutout sugar cookies these were really tasty. I used almond extract in the frosting rather than vanilla."
