1 3/4 cups oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
4 egg yolks, beaten
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups raisins

Combine the flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda, and butter to form a dough with the consistency of course crumbs.
Save 1 1/2 cups for the top of the bars. Press the rest of the dough in a 9- X 13-inch pan and bake 15 minutes at 350ºF.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the beaten egg yolks and the cornstarch; then add the sour cream, sugar, and raisins. Place the saucepan on the stovetop over low heat and stir often.
Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes; then pour the mixture over the baked crust.
Top with the remaining crumb mixture and bake for an additional 20 minutes at 350ºF.
Cool, slice, and serve. The bars freeze well.
