BUTTER PECAN TURTLE COOKIES 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup whole pecans (not chopped)
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven; 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine first three ingredients together until you have fine particles. Pat firmly into well greased 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle whole pecans over unbaked crust. Prepare caramel; combine melted butter, and brown sugar,in saucepan and cook over medium heat stirring constantly until entire surface begins to boil. Boil for 1 minute pour over pecans. Bake in center of oven for 18-20 minutes or until entire caramel layer is bubbly and crust is golden brown. Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Allow the chips to melt 2-3 minutes. Slightly swirl chips as they melt; leaving some whole marbled effect. Don't spread chips. Cool completely. Cut into 3-4 dozen bars.
