Tom and Jerry's Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 ounce rum
  • 1 1/2 ounces brandy
  • 1 cup hot water
  • nutmeg
  • 8 eggs, separated
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 drops vanilla
Directions
Beat egg whites until stiff; slowly add sugar and vanilla.

Beat the egg yolks until light and lemon colored.

Fold the egg whites into the egg yolks and refrigerate.

To serve a glass, put rum, brandy, add a gravy ladle of refrigerated mixture. Fill cup with hot water and sprinkle with nutmeg.
