Black Cat Cake Template
The template below is not actual size but shows how the layers are used to create the cat.
- The larger circles at the left represent the two cake layers.
- The bottom is the body of the cat.
- The top layer has a smaller center circle cut out to use for the cat's head. Use a bowl or something similar that is about 1 inch smaller all around the outer edge and press into the center of the cake layer to create the head. You could also mark 1 inch in from the edge all around the layer and then follow the marks and cut the head out by hand.
- Carefully remove the head from the center.
- The remaining outer edge of the layer is to be cut and used as the ears and tail.
- Frost and decorate as directed in the recipe.
