A kitchen tool used to remove the kernels from the corn cob. There are a couple different types of corn strippers available. One type has a metal hand with a double-sided blade attached to a clear head, which allows you to see what you are cutting. It slices off 3 to 4 rows of kernels at a time as you drag the blade down the cob. When working with this type, you need a bowl for the corn to fall into as it is cut off.

Another type of corn stripper that is available looks similar to a computer mouse. It contains a blade that cuts the kernels from the cob while the stripper catches them in its container. The container will collect about 1/2 cup of kernels that can then be emptied into a larger container. The container helps prevent the cut kernels from scattering everywhere as they are sliced off the cob.

Both types of corn strippers are useful tools when cutting the kernels from sweet corn is required.
