Pumpkin Butter
A condiment or an ingredient that is most often served to accompany fall or winter foods, but is certainly enjoyed year around. Made from the pureed meat of pumpkins, Pumpkin Butter is typically a combination of spices such as cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves, with additional ingredients as desired such as sugar and/or brown sugar. It is a tasty topping for toasted breads, muffins and other baked items as well as a favorite ingredient for a variety of cakes and cheesecake recipes.
