Tea Ball  
A hollow, round ball containing tiny holes or mesh screening which is used to hold tea leaves, herbs and spices that are used for flavoring liquids. The Tea Ball is filled with various flavorings such as spices or fresh and dried herbs which are then placed in boiling water or other boiling liquids in order to steep the contents and infuse various flavorings. Imersion flavoring with the use of a Tea Ball is a process that is commonly used to make teas or to flavor sauces and base stocks. The Tea Ball may also be referred to as a Herb ball, an Infusion Ball, a Tea Egg, or a Tea Strainer.
