Beef - Rare / Medium / Well Done
 
Meat that has been cooked for a very short period of time, leaving the center cool and red in color. In the food industry, there are six standard levels of doneness for meat which are very rare, rare, medium rare, medium, well done, and very well done. Well done is the term that may be used to identify cooking levels between medium well done and very well done.
