Myrrh  
An herb native to Europe and western Asia which also grows in many other countries that is also commonly referred to as Chervil, Cicely and Sweet Cicely. The hollowed stems of this herb grow to three feet tall producing large, light green leaves that appear much like a feather in shape. Myrrh has a sweet and mild anise flavor, which improves the acidic taste of when paired with many different fruits. Myrrh can be used nicely as a substitute for sugar when this herb is used for flavoring sweet dishes. Often used as a garnish or ingredient in fresh salads, Myrrh is one of the herbs used to make a blend of herbs referred to as fine herbs. Myrrh will loose most of its distinctive flavor when it is dried.
