| | Directions | | Place the butter in a large heat proof bowl. Using a wooden spoon or an electric mixer, beat until smooth. Add the cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well blended. Bring a large sauce pan of slightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions. Drain well and immediately add the hot noodles to the butter mixture. Using two forks, toss the fettuccine in the butter mixture to coat well. Add the salt and pepper. Divide between 4 serving plates. Quickly slice the basil into shreds to equal 1/4 C. Sprinkle basil over each serving and serve immediately. |
