Mom's Perfect Lasagna - Recipe

Who doesn't love a great lasagna? Creamy cheese layered with tomato meat sauce and pasta. Serve this with a side salad and garlic bread. This can be frozen, thawed and cooked for a great way to have a meal ready for those busy nights.

Mom's Perfect Lasagna Recipe
Directions
In a large skillet, brown hamburger; drain.

Add seasonings, sauce and paste. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring throughout.

While browning hamburger start water for noodles; boil and drain.

In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, salt and pepper.

Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Place half of noodles in bottom of pan, 3 across works well. Top with a layer of cheese mix, mozzarella, then meat mixture. Repeat layers one or two more times. Sprinkle mozzarella on top.

Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.

IMPORTANT: Allow to stand 10 minutes before cutting.

NOTES: Freshly grated parmesan and freshly shredded mozzarella are the best way to go, but store bought saves a lot of time.

-1 can tomato sauce (16 ounce can)
-1 can tomato paste (6 ounce can)
-1 pound Mozzarella cheese
-10 ounces lasagna noodles
-2 cups cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
-1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
-2 tablespoons parsley flakes
-2 eggs, beaten
-2 teaspoons salt
-1 teaspoon pepper
