| Preheat oven to 350 Pour boiling water over oats. Cover; let stand 20 minutes. In separate mixing bowl, mix oleo, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend well. Combine dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg) with the wet. Add Oats. Pour into a greased and floured 9" square baking pan. Bake 50-55 minutes. Combine frosting ingredients. Spread over warm cake. Broil until bubbly. Watch it closely. Do not allow it to burn. |
