Cream sugar and oil together. Add eggs and pumpkin, mix well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients alternately with water. Pour into 2 well greased 9X5 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until test done. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cool.
I make mine in a bundt pan or tube pan. Serve with a big scoop of whipped cream. Bread is really better if it sets a day or so before serving.
