| | Directions | | Sift together the dry ingredients. Add the oatmeal and mix. Cream together the brown sugar, peanut butter, shortening and butter. Mix together with the dry ingredients. Mixture will be crumbly. Pour into shallow pan and bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Meanwhile mix together topping ingredients. Cook the cream and cocoa until thick. Then add enough powdered sugar and cream for right spreading consistency. When bars are done, remove from oven. While still warm, frost with topping mixture. |
