| | Directions | | Bring cocoa, butter, shortening and water to a boil. Pour over flour and sugar. Mix by hand then add eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. For Frosting, bring margarine, cocoa and milk to a boil. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts, if desired. Pour hot over warm cake. |
