| | Directions | | Mix in bowl sugar & flour. Set aside while you combine in a pan water, oil, butter and cocoa. Boil for 1 minute stirring constantly. Add this mixture to the flour & sugar and beat 3 minutes. Stir in buttermilk and soda along with eggs and salt. Beat well. Mixture will be thin. Pour into a 13 X 9 X 3 pan. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. 5 minutes before cake is done bring milk, butter, cocoa and vanilla to a boil. Stir in confectioners sugar. Frost cake. |
