Mix cake mix, oil and egg. Save 1-cup cake mixture to crumble on top.
Put remaining cake mixture on bottom of 8 1/2 x 13 pan.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Mix together cream cheese, lemon, and sugar and put on top. Now crumble remaining 1 cup of cake mixture on top. Bake 15 minutes more.
