Easy Cheesy Potato Soup - Recipe

A delicious version of the classic comfort food, which contains potatoes, Velveeta cheese, bacon, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, butter, milk, water, bouillon cubes, salt, pepper, and mashed potato flakes.

Directions
  • In large saucepan, fry bacon on medium high until golden brown and crispy.
  • Add butter and melt; add celery, carrots, onions, and garlic. Saute on medium/high for 2 minutes.
  • Add potatoes, water, bouillon cubes, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer on medium/low for 20 minutes.
  • Add cheese and simmer stirring occasionally until melted.
  • Add mashed potato flakes and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Add more milk or more potato flakes to desired thickness.
  • Serve!

-1/3 cup instant mashed potato flakes
-3 chicken bouillon cubes
-4 cups water
-3 cups milk
