Cabin Stew - Recipe

Good hot meal for a cold day. Serve with toasted Italian, corn bread, or biscuits.

  • Brown ground beef with onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add beans, corn, tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Add seasonings to your taste.
  • Simmer for 30 minutes to an hour. Just before serving, Stir Velveeta into the stew until it melts.
  • Note: If you like, chopped bell pepper or sweet banana peppers can be added to onion and beef.

-1 small onion
- Garlic clove or garlic powder (optional)
-1 can red kidney beans, drained
-1 can whole kernel corn, drained
-2 cans tomatoes with juice
-1 can tomato sauce - small can
- Creole seasoning or little chili pepper
-1/2 cup processed cheese (Velveeta)
