Sausage Pockets - Recipe

This could be an appetizer for your next football party or beside some soup for a quick supper. The creamy middle with the flaky crescent rolls will be a big hit.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium skillet, brown sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain. Add cream cheese and stir until cheese is melted. Cool completely.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and arrange each package into a rectangle, sealing seams. Place cooled sausage mixture lengthwise down center of each rectangle. Fold over the long sides of pastry to cover sausage log; seal edges. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, seam down. Brush with egg white.
  • Bake 20 minutes until crust is golden. When completely cooled, slice and enjoy.
