Hot Italian Chili - Recipe

Directions
  • Place tomatoes, one half can of water, and beans in a slow cooker and turn on high heat.
  • Remove Premio Hot Italian Sausage from casing. Cook in skillet with ground beef until brown. Place into slow cooker. (Make sure the slow cooker has warmed.)
  • Dice onion, pepper, and celery to desired size. Saute over medium heat until lightly cooked. Add to slow cooker.
  • Reduce heat on slow cooker to low; then add chili seasoning, cumin, salt, and pepper. (If you don't have seasonings on hand, a wonderful premixed seasoning packet is available at your grocer.)
  • Cook on low for 4 hours to allow flavors to blend.
  • Serve with crackers, shredded cheese, and sour cream.

-1 can diced tomatoes (large can)
-1/2 can water
-1 can black beans - drained and rinsed
-1 can spicy chili beans
-1 package Premio Hot Italian Sausage - casings removed
-1 pound ground beef
-1 large onion
-1 medium green pepper
-3 stalks celery
-1 can petite diced tomatoes with chilies
- Season with chili seasoning, cumin, salt, and pepper to taste
