Stuffed Meatloaf - Recipe

Directions
  • Cook sausage in large fry pan, cook until golden brown; set aside.
  • In a large bowel, mix ground beef, onion, green pepper, egg, tomato juice, brown sugar and parsley; mix well. Divide it in half.
  • Place half in a square baking dish.
  • Pour cooked sausage over meatloaf, and then put sliced green, red yellow pepper on top of sausage.
  • Then with cheeses.
  • Place the other half of meatloaf over cheese. Seal.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour or until done.
  • Serve warm with Italian bread.

-1/2 pound Sweet Premio Italian sausage - sliced paper thin
-1/2 pound hot Premio Italian sausage - sliced thin
-2 pounds ground beef - raw
-1/2 cup onion - chopped
-1/2 cup green pepper - chopped
-1 egg - extra large, beaten
-1/2 cup tomato juice
-1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
-1 tablespoon dried or fresh parsley
-1 small red pepper - sliced thin
-1 small yellow pepper - sliced thin
-1 small green pepper - sliced thin
-1 small onion - sliced thin
-1 cup cheddar cheese - shredded
-1 cup mozzarella cheese - shredded
