Put in one bowl, mix 4 minutes. Add nuts last. Bake in 9 x 13" greased and floured pan and bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes. Cool. Frost with cream cheese icing: 3 oz. cream cheese 1/2 cube (4 tbsp.) butter or margarine 2 C. (approximately) powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Martha Matloff submitted a very similar recipe. She uses 3 eggs, 3 tsp. soda (no baking powder), 1 C. buttermilk, and bakes it in a bundt pan at 375° for 6 minutes. |
