| Directions | Mix sugar, syrup, cream and salt on med.-high until boiling, stirring constantly (be patient, it takes about 45 minutes). When mixture thickens SLOWLY add milk and butter. Cook until a firm, softball stage. Pour out onto a cookie sheet. Cool (several hours), cut into squares and roll in wax paper. (It's worth the effort!!) |
