- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- For layer 1, combine the flour, nuts, and margarine. Press the mixture into 9- x 13-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes; then allow to cool.
- For layer 2, combine the cream cheese, Cool Whip (saving some for garnish), and powdered sugar. Beat until thick; then spread onto layer 1.
- For layer 3, combine the instant pudding and milk. Beat until thick and spread onto layer 2.
- For layer 4, cover the top with the remaining Cool Whip; then top with nuts, chocolate, or other toppings of choice, depending on the pudding flavor used.
